Page 7 of Love Me Forever

“Damien,” she whispers, “I want that so much.”

Our foreheads meet, we’re looking into each other’s eyes, and yea this woman right here in my arms she’s special, a special I want to take care of.

“Gonna take you home now, call you tomorrow. Take you out, wine and dine you,” I murmur.

She gets off of my lap, pulling her dress down as she stands. I have the best view in the whole fucking world. Her legs are a work of art, and I know once I get between them, they’ll look even better wrapped around me.

I take my hand in hers and we head to my Jeep. When I ask for directions to her house she simply says. “I live above the shop, it makes life much easier during our busy time of the year.”

“I guess it does.”

“I mean it’s not ideal, but for now, I’m happy where I am, and it allows me to save money this way too,” she replies.

We reach her place, I walk around to the passenger side and help her out. We walk up to her back stoop and as much as I don’t want to leave, I know I have to.

“See you soon, Gorgeous,” I tell her as I kiss her forehead. If I start kissing her now, we’ll never stop, and I’ll have her inside her home on the nearest, flattest surface in only a matter of moments.

“See you tomorrow, Damien.”

She turns and walks into her apartment. I wait till I hear the locks click into place and then head back to my jeep. I turn around and see her light come on and she’s waving goodbye. It hurts my chest seeing her on the other side of the wall. I give her a grin and a one finger salute before heading home myself.

When I get back to my place, it feels empty. It’s never felt this empty or lonely before, but I guess that’s what happens when you meet someone you know deep in your soul is meant to be yours.

I strip down to my boxers, grabbing my phone before sliding into bed. My last thought is to text Amelia.

Night Gorgeous, I’ll see you soon.

The bubbles showing up on my end tells me she’s responding, and I smirk when I see what she responds with.

Goodnight, sleep tight, and I’ll see you when the sun is shining bright.

xoxo

I put my phone down and fall asleep with a goofy ass smile on my face.

Chapter Eight

Amelia

I’m working on a floral arrangement for a wedding anniversary when my phone chimes, alerting me there’s a new text.

Amelia,

See you tonight. I’ll be at your place at 8.

I’m giggling, like a teenager on a first date. The smile on my face couldn’t be more ridiculous, but who would have thought Damien would give me the time of day after raising all kinds of hell when he was pursuing me. I immediately respond to him.

I can’t wait. <3What seems like only minutes later, I’m closing the shop down and heading upstairs to my apartment, the dreaded what should I wear question is on my mind. I go to my closet and start going through my clothes, hating every damn option. I may dress up for work, but when I’m off of work, I just want to put on a pair of leggings, an oversized sweater, and throw my hair up in a messy bun. I even take my contacts out and opt for my oversized tortoise shell glasses.I’m getting exasperated when my phone starts ringing. Going to grab it, I see it’s Damien.“Hey.”“Hey, you. What are you doing?”“You don’t want to know, you may think badly of me.” I respond blowing out a frustrated breath.“Amelia,” he laughs. “I won’t. Promise.”“I’m being that girl, trying to figure out what to wear and tearing her closet apart, but all I really want to do is curl up on the couch in comfy clothes and watch a movie.”“Get dressed in whatever the fuck you want to wear, we’ll go back to my place or stay at yours and do just that,” he responds.“Are you sure? I know you mentioned going out to dinner.”“Fuck yes, I’m sure. I can get out of this fucking suit and relax with you in my arms, Gorgeous.”“Okay, as long as you’re sure. My um…um apartment is small, so maybe your place is better?” I say as a question.“That’s fine. I’ll pick you up and we’ll go back to my place. I’ll pick up some groceries and cook dinner. How does that sound?” he asks.“Oh, my goodness, that sounds like heaven. I can’t wait.”“Now, that that’s settled. I’ll see you soon, Gorgeous.”“See you soon, Handsome.”Once we’re done chatting, I put on the leggings and sweater I was eyeing earlier. Then, I take my contacts out, grab my glasses, throw my hair up, and put my feet in my slippers. Then, I wait for Damien to get here.
