Wrapped Up

I’m done with love.
Burned one too many times by charming men who turn out to be wolves in sheep’s clothing.
But then I meet him – the tall, dark, and dangerously alluring stranger who ignites a fire
within me I thought was long extinguished.
Our encounter in that dimly lit stairwell is electric, primal.
He calls me “Princess” and has me begging for his touch, his kiss, his possession.
For one glorious night, I forget my cynicism and lose myself in his embrace.
But I should have known better than to trust another prince in shining armor.
Fool me once, shame on him. Fool me twice…well, I won’t be that girl again.
