Avery Williams is back in Phoenix after a terrible breakup, filling in as a substitute teacher while she figures out her next move. Subbing is not Avery’s style (at all), but at least she’s close to home, where she can help support her injured mother.
Gabe Manwaring is everyone’s favorite sub, fun-loving and carefree. But on the inside, he’s ready to be taken seriously. With his dream job overseas finally within reach, Gabe can sense that the bigger life he’s been looking for is on the horizon at last.
